In the latest episode of Arrhythmia Academy's Journal Club, Prof David Duncker (Hannover Heart Rhythm Center, DE) is joined by Dr Gianfranco Mitacchione (University Of Brescia, IT) to discuss leadless pacemakers in patients with chronic kidney disease.

Dr Mitacchione provides the current guideline recommendations for leadless pacemakers and presents data from the i-LEAPER (NCT05528029) multi-center study, investigating the safety and efficacy outcomes of leadless pacemaker implantation in patients with different stages of chronic kidney disease. Prof Duncker and Dr Mitacchione then dive deeper into the outcomes of i-LEAPER, focusing on how the complication rates and follow ups differed for each patient group.

Recorded remotely from Hannover and Brescia, 2024.
