Biography

Maheer Gandhavadi is the Medical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology at Overlake’s Heart & Vascular Centre in Bellevue, Washington. He specialises in the management of complex cardiac arrhythmias, with particular clinical expertise in catheter ablation, minimal-radiation procedures, and left atrial appendage closure. Dr Gandhavadi has been at the forefront of adopting advanced cardiac technologies in the Pacific Northwest, notably leading the region's early clinical implementation of pulsed field ablation (PFA) therapy for atrial fibrillation.

An alumnus of the Duke University School of Medicine, Dr Gandhavadi completed his internal medicine residency at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), before pursuing advanced fellowships in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology at Harvard Medical School. His clinical research, widely published in peer-reviewed journals such as Heart Rhythm and the Journal of the American College of Cardiology, focuses on optimising workflow efficiencies, increasing long-term procedural durability, and evaluating next-generation catheter technologies in daily clinical practice. He is a Fellow of both the Heart Rhythm Society (FHRS) and the American College of Cardiology (FACC).
