Dr Brett Atwater is an electrophysiologist at Inova Schar Heart and Vascular, Virginia, US, where he serves as the D’Aniello Chair for Atrial Fibrillation.
He leads clinical research trials and provides world-class, patient-centered care to a growing number of patients, particularly older adults with heart rhythm disorders. Dr Atwater also serves as Inova’s Chief of Electrophysiology and is board-certified in electrophysiology, clinical cardiac electrophysiology, cardiovascular medicine and internal medicine. He joined Inova in 2020 and has been practicing since 2008. Before joining Inova, Dr Atwater was an Associate Professor of Medicine in the Department of Cardiology at Duke University.
